Annual Marching Band Competition Set For Saturday At Stocker Stadium

Time once again to strike up the band – high school version, that is.

The 36th Annual Colorado West Invitational Marching Band Festival is set for this Saturday (October 5) in Grand Junction.

The festival kicks off at 10:00 a.m. with a parade on Main Street. The parade also coincides with all the downtown activities set up for Oktoberfest.

After the parade, the festival will shift to Stocker Stadium, where field show competitions are scheduled. High school marching bands will perform their field shows between 12:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., with awards to be presented at 5:00 p.m.

Colorado West Invitational Marching Band Festival is designed for school bands located throughout Colorado, New Mexico and Eastern Utah.
