The Grand Junction Police Department is searching for a 12-year-old girl who was reported missing this afternoon.

[UPDATED 11:22 a.m. April 26] An Amber Alert was issued identifying a possible suspect in the case. It is believed Raeanna may be with Jody Haskin, 47, a white male, about 6-feet tall, weighing 215 to 230 pounds, and wearing glasses.

Haskin is Raeann's stepfather but has no parental rights. Witnesses say Raeanna entered the vehicle willingly. Haskin is a registered sex offender and currently has a warrant for his arrest on sex assault charges on a child in Grand Junction.

Police are no longer searching for the green vehicle used in the abduction. That vehicle was recovered in Rifle. Police are working to determine how the vehicle got there, who was driving and when it arrived.

The location of the vehicle has lead police to believe the two are no longer in the Grand Junction area. However, they don't have any solid leads to indicate where they may be travelling.

[UPDATED 6:00 A.M. April 26]  Authorities have worked through the night following up on tips and develop leads to Raeanna's whereabouts. Barring any critical developments, we don't expect further information until later this morning. Police have expressed their appreciation to the public for sharing information about this case.

[UPDATED 10:15 P.M. April 25] The Colorado Bureau of Investigation with the Grand Junction Police Department issued an Amber Alert at approximately 10:12 p.m. for Raeanna. The ongoing investigation has now officially classified her disappearance as a child abduction.

[UPDATED 9:30 p.m. April 25] The Colorado Bureau of Investigation has issued a Missing Endangered Alert for Raeanna Rosencrans.

[UPDATED 6:45 p.m. April 25] Raeanna Rosencrans is 5-feet 1-inch tall, weighs 137 pounds, with light brown/dark blonde hair and blue eyes.

She was last seen around 3 p.m. walking home from school with a friend when she got into a vehicle with a man who called her by name. The Grand Junction Police Department believes this a possible abduction and is working with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation on issuing an Amber Alert.

The missing girl is Raeanna Rosencrans. According to the police, Raeanna is developmentally delayed, but highly functioning.

At the time of her disappearance, Raeanna was wearing a black shirt with white designs, black jeans, Adidas shoes, and was carrying a black and white backpack with a southwest design on it.

Raeanna was last seen getting into a boxy green sedan in the area of D 1/2 Road and Larry's Meadow Drive around 3 p.m. Wednesday afternoon (April 25).

The driver of the vehicle is described as a white male in his late 40s or early 50s. He's approximately 5-feet 8-inches tall with a medium build and bald head. He is wearing a green button-down shirt and dark pants.
